Redo 'audio extracted'

I have been editing a video for quite some time now, but I have noticed a problem. All of my audio files have been extracted automatically, and because of that I can't use 'default transition' when I want to fade two tracks to avoid audio dips. I have never had this problem in my other Premiere Pro projects. Is there anyway how I can solve this problem, without having to start over completly? Thank you!

Audio files are not extracted automatically.

You must have done something like Edit in Audition or Render and Replace.

Even if the files are extracted, you should still be able to use transitions. Unless they have no handles.

To get the original files back if they are part of the video clip is to hit F.

This will bring up the original file: you now can use the original audio.

Hey, so I actually did solve this--- if you select all the files having this weird problem and right them/ctrl click them-- you can selected "restore unrendered" from the dropdown menu, after which the clips then stem from the original source file and can be edited as normal in the sequence. I am so relieved that there was a solution for this that I came back in case anyone ever needs it in the future. God bless and save us all from the capricious random machinations of sinister Adobe lol

I love when people suggest "go back to the source clip" like --- just re-edit your entire project, what's the problem? The problem is I don't have 5 extra hours on hand and I expected my clip to work like a normal clip and be extendable since it has no, repeating not been edited in adobe audition at all. I don't know why my clips have suddenly shifted into no-longer-editable extracts, but now when I want to extend them, I am basically having to re-edit my entire video.

If anyone has any advice on how to fix that, I'd really appreciate it, because that didn't help me at all.
