bro why can't i just see the "play button" ??

i can't watch my project in the reference window, so I can't edit it.  it's not even playing! i have a movie to finish on time. please help me, i've never seen something like that.

by the way, do you think is a Mac really the best option for editing? Those who use computers other than Mac, are you having problems? Can you deal with these?

Sorry, that was vague: I can reproduce the behavior here; yes, there definitely should be a Play button in the Reference monitor. My team (which owns the reference monitor) is urgently investigating.

You don't owe me anything, particularly since...I was wrong! The Reference monitor has never had a play button!

[I went as far back as the behavioral specification from 2005; no play button.]

I think the common workflow is to gang playback to the Program monitor; happily, that button is available. 🙂
