Relinking of proxy files impossible / Error makes no sense

I get this kind of error almost every time I relink proxy files. I do not understand why PP can not just force relink the files even if there was something wrong with the audio channels. And it also does not tell me how to resolve this. So i have to recreate ALL proxy files. No matter if the existing proxies have been created on Mac or PC. When opening on a new platform there is a 80% chance of getting this error. What does it mean? What can I do? (I already tried all different options of proxy media creation.)
