REMIX not showing up in Essential Sound Panel

Community Beginner ,
Nov 13, 2021 Nov 13, 2021

Hi,

I imported a song from my music library and I put it in a sequence. I went to Window -- Essential sound. The window appeared and I clicked on Music and another wndow opened. The word "REMIX" does not appear anywhere. I am trying to have Premiere shorten a song like I saw in the follwing Tutorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKmGTm3bX4Q

How can I shorten the duration of a song? Where can I find the REMIX button?

Thanks

It's in beta! We have a tutorial here and a link in the description to download the Premiere Pro beta. You can have the official build (22) and the beta build installed at the same time. https://youtu.be/Uu_GUKitCiI

The REMIX is in the run-in stage in a test build. It is missing in the release. If you want to do it now, it's better to use Audition. It's there and it works great.

I have no beta option in my apps tab. Why?

Along the left side of the Creative Cloud app, where it says All Apps, Photography, and such, there isn't a Beta option? Because that's where it "lives" ... not in with the listing of apps.

And past what Caroline noted, you can open a "shipping" 2022 project in the public beta, use the Remix feature, close and then reopen the 2022 'shipping' version and keep working. You can eat your candy and have it to!

Neil, I prefer to use the capabilities of the Adobe ecosystem on which it is built. It's a pleasure. Each program should do its own thing. This feature is good, but, I prefer to do the same work in Audition. He's a powerful tool.

Audition is great, I use it all the time. But for a lot of smaller projects, it's plain overkill.

So I've used Remix both in Pr and Au. Works fine, gets the job done. I've also been able to mix a lot of projects totally in Pr. And with another, sent maybe one/two clips or a sequence to Au.

Whatever works.

It's there, just right click the audio file in the timeline then look for remix - enable remix. You're welcome. 🙂
