I am really sorry for this error. Yes, it appears to be an issue others have noticed. Is it possible for you to upvote the following bug report? https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/44799919-bug-report-duplicating-sequence-reset-audio-gain

I will also mention it to the team.

I've also experienced this whenever I use the remix tool on a music track and duplicate the music track and use the remix tool again to shorten or expand the track it messes up the original track from my first sequence music track
