Remove Motion Graphics Template from "My Library"

Adobe has not thought through the other side of creating Motion Graphics Templates in Adobe Premiere Pro 2017.1—deleting a template from your library.

I could not find anyway of doing this that doesn't involve a kludge. Is there a way to do this that is built-in to Premiere Pro or Creative Cloud?

Hi Cabletv1,

Thanks for sharing that screenshot. I am sorry for the frustration, but you are looking at the wrong panel.

You can delete the templates in the Libraries panel (not in the Essential Graphics panel).

Kulpreet,

Thanks again. I knew that I was in the "wrong" panel when I saw your first response.

However, as I noted. Premiere Pro is a complex program. If I can create an item in one panel, I shouldn't have to find the item somewhere else in Premiere Pro to remove it. That is bad design on Adobe's part. I stand my belief that the UI/UX needs improvement on this matter. Please pass along my comments to the developers.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Cabletv1,

You can delete any of your files from the Libraries.

Select your file (in the libraries) and select delete at the bottom right.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks,

Kulpreet Singh

Kulpreet,

Thanks for pointing that out.

Adobe is inconsistent in showing this icon. Here is a screenshot from the Editing Workspace with the Libraries panel full screen. There is no Delete icon. Consistency in a very complex application is quite useful. Consistency in UI/UX improves the user's productivity. I wasted over an hour finding a work-around. The trash can icon, or even better a context-menu item were expected where I was looking but were not there.
