Removing a light from video background.

I’m a student filmmaker working on my first short and I just finished last night, only to wake up and find that the two good takes of a key scene have a conspicuous light in the background. The camera (handheld) circles the characters, so it comes in and out of frame and focus. Can I remove this or am I screwed? Not new to Premiere but have little experience with masking and things of that nature. I am assuming I'm just going to have to accept that the light is going to be visible, but thought I'd seek the help of more knowledgeable people.
