renamed Adobe LUT files now give red checkerboard

Hello,

I'm using Premiere Pro 2017.1.2 build (22) on Windows(64). I'm a newbie and wanted to add 3rd party LUT files to the Look folder. To keep the files organized, I wanted to use the convention having the prefix be the name of the vendor. I changed the default Adobe file names from "xyz (by Adobe).itx" to "Adobe xyz.itx". When working on a brand new project with minimal number of track and  tried to use the renamed LUT it shows up as a red checkerboard. All third party LUTs work fine, but the Adobe renamed LUTs do not.

Thanks for your help.

Neil,

Thanks for your quick response. I've changed the Adobe file names back.

When I use the browse method for my own folders, I find I can no longer use the handy quick preview window. It only works with the official LUTs folder.

Would it be possible for future versions to allow quick previews for LUTs in the current folder (default is the official folder)?

If not, can the preview window be greyed out when a LUT from a custom folder is selected, since it does not correspond to the current LUT?

Thanks,

Lincoln

The way the program works, you can't rename those rebuilt LUTs. You have to change them back. Once upon a time we could use even subfolders in the Program files to organize and make it quick to use them.

But the internal references in those folders are different and that sort of process isn't usable now.

Store your own in a folder you can quickly access via the custom or browse options.

Sorry.

There are a number of things that could make this much nicer to work with ... and a biggie is the preview window ONLY working with LUTs/Looks in the Creative folder. So PLEASE, file the feature-request report form. These are distributed in a tabulated form to all managerial types though they don't respond to whoever files them.
