Render & Replace codecs in Premiere Pro

Hi,

Can anyone enlighten me and tell me the difference between the "MXF OP1a" and the "DNxHR/DNxHD MXF OP1a" that pops up when I want to render & replace a clip in Premiere Pro 2017. And also the difference between "AVC Intra" and "DNxHD"

I'm trying to find the best workflow for rendering & replacing an After Effects Comp, on the timeline, as close to uncompressed as possible.....

- what would you do?

Thanks

May or may not be helpful but FWIW Per

I do not use Render and Replace or any directly linked workflows between PPro and AEFX.

I prefer to create Digital Intermediates (D.Is)  to maintain  least compression in my workflows and masters.

For this it tends to be .avis

Occassionally tga or tiff sequential files and sometimes codecs containing alpha .

I sometimes iterate the D.I with a new name but often will just Export using same name and that will update the instance in PPro.

One bonus advantage I find is that it makes management of PPro and AEFX Projects easier.

There are plenty of resources online that will teach you about those specific codecs.  You should do your research.

That answer wasn't helpful at all Jim, only judgmental...
I couldn't find anything that explains the difference between those specific codecs in terms that I understand. I'm Danish, I'm a photographer, and I'm a beginner at video encoding. There is no resources on the subject in Danish at all. That was the reason I spend time making this thread in the first place. Not laziness or lack of willingness to investigate as you suggest.

- Work on the attitude Jim! If you do not have an answer, or think the question is ridiculous, then feel free to move on.

You don't HAVE to answer every thread in this forum as it appears you do from looking around.

in terms that I understand.

Then you need to get those terms defined.

One of the largest impediments to education is the misunderstood word.  One can't be expected to fully understand the concept if one doesn't know the meaning of the words used to describe the concept.

This applies regardless of language.
