rescaling clips in timeline to very small size, creates low resolution

Hello dear Adobe community,

in Premiere pro I want to put a clip on top of a clip very small, however the resolution goes from normal (1080) to very low. So a scale size from 100 to 66 suddenly makes a very low resolution.. anyone have experience with this?

(premiere pro 2024)

what are your system specs and what type of video formats are your footage?

Sequence settings? playback resolution? pause resolution?

Hey Carlos!

Main sequence/timeline is 4k footage in a 4:3 ratio,

Clips footage on top: 960 x960 or 1080 or 720 (depends on clip) h.264.

computer specs: sonoma 14.7, Macbook pro 2023. Sequence settings in the attachement picture.

The low resolution happens at any playback, full or 1/2 , also when exporting the project.

Try to make your sequence smaller in size if you are not tied to this output size.

there is no need to use this sequence size with 960x960 or smaller size footage.

can you screenshot your timeline and project panel?
