Resetting Shapes will remove some properties under the Essential Graphics panel.

When I reset the Shape graphics from Effects Controls, the properties (Width, Height, and Corner Radius) under Essential Graphics will disappear.
It is specifically with the 'Appearance' attribute of Shape graphics, if I reset the Appearance only, these options from Essential Graphics will gone.

I don't know if it's a bug, or if am I missing something. Please help

Using Premiere Pro 24.0.0 build 58

Here's the video for the demonstration

Correct answer R Neil Haugen

Hey, thanks for popping in! I'd always assumed that was designed behavior. Great to know it's a bug and might change.

And thanks to the OP for posting this!

Hi @Asjal Khan,

Thanks for bringing this bug to our attention. I'm able to repro in house and will update you when we have a fix in place.

I've just been told that it's as designed as there isn't a technical way around how the ECP is working with the EGP. I agree that this feels like a bug and I've written a ticket hoping one of our devs will be able to figure this one out in the future. Sorry for the frustration! Best workaround as @R Neil Haugen mentioned is to remain in the EGP.

Cheers,

Theresa

Thank you @R Neil Haugen and @Theresa Rostek for taking this into account. I was scratching my head because of this. I guess my best bet is to stay away from resetting the shape.

It's better to rework the shapes themselves from the EGP controls. As yea, you tell the ECP to reset, it resets the whole thing.

In the EGP, you can change things.
