Safe Margins Display Won't Stay On

I'm working with v.13.1. When I turn on the Safe Margins, it will disappear after a while. I have to reactivate it every few minutes. Does that happen to you, and do you know why? I think I might have click something to deactivate it by mistake? But I can't think of anything that I've done to cause that.
