screen resolution

Community Beginner ,

Hello,

I get the following message when starting Premiere Pro on my Mac OS X Version 10.9.5:

Your screen resolution is below the minimum required 1024 x 768.  Please increase your screen resolution or adjust the DPI scaling setting in your Display preference to a smaller size.

Can anyone let me know how to adjust and set up in display so that I do not have to adjust every time I open Premiere Pro

I had the same issue, using my Macbook Pro Retina 13". I went into system preferences (by clicking the apple icon top left), displays, then clicked on "scaled" and chose "more space" this has increased the screen resolution, and I no longer get this warning message.

Is your resolution lower than 1024 x 768? you can view your screen size in system preferences > display I believe.

display (larger test, Best Retina and more space) *but there is not an

option to choose a resolution. Not sure where to find more options

On what? A PC? A Mac? What video card? What monitor? What OS? What version of Premiere?

I think you need to start a support case if you are running at 1080P. You don't say what card or what driver - first you might try upgrading your driver to the one recommended by Adobe for your card.

Windows 10 - same as 8 and 7 ; Right click on your desktop, choose display settings then advanced display settings - you can adjust your resolution there up tothe maximum allowed by your graphics card and screen combination.

The following worked for me on the same PC, 64 bit.
Win+S

Type in "Display settings"

Graphics settings

Browse

Navigate to your Premier pro, for me it was "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018"

Select the Premier pro application and set the graphics specification to "High Performance"

Done!

I didn't see Premiere Pro in the options, but my graphics card was. Set it to high performance and all is good! It is an act of congress to get to IT since COVID. Thanks for sharing!

I don't have a "more space" option. My just says 1280 x 800 or 1024 x 640. I click on the 1280 option, but I still get the error message.

this worked. the 1440x900 also works if you don't want to use the "more space" option (which can make the text hard to read).

(Solved)

DPI settings are in your display settings. It's a setting that amplifies your icons and text and causes a conflict with Premiere. Reduce the scale or size of this setting and restart Premiere.
