Scrubbing Timeline While Playing Not Snapping Correctly Since Update

Hopefully I can explain this correectly. Since the update, while playing, if I click on the timeline to to set a spot for the scrubber to select (while the scrubber is past the viewable area of the timeline) rather than actually going to that point, the playback just stops and the scrubber and timeline go back to the point where the playback ended. This is really annoying as it adds the additional step of scrolling to find the point that I want to jump back to, especailly if I'm making small adjustments for pacing on cuts. I checked timeline preferences and nothing has changed, but since the recent update, clicking on the timeline while playing, stops the playback at the point of play, not where I click on the timleine.

Thanks for the description of your issue! Have you already tried resetting your preferences? To do that, close Premiere. Then hold down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT (PC) or CTRL+OPT+SHIFT (Mac) on your keyboard and launch Premiere. Keep holding the keys down until a window appears asking if you want to reset your preferences. Say yes!

Let us know if the playhead jumps to your click during playback after that. Out of curiosity, if you click once to stop the playback, then click a second time, does the playhead jump to your mouse?

Thank you for your reply. If it is at all possible, I don't want to reset my settings as it would take quite a bit of time to get my settings back to how I have them. Is there are workaround for fixing this issue without totally resetting all of my settings?
