Search view in project. (Search shows bin structure)

I never thought I would need to ask such question... Will make it short.

So basically I have a project with 9 folders/bin and each one has 4-5 folders/bins inside.

There is a bunch of videos and photos, and I need to remove the 2000+ Photos from my project.

Easy, right? Just type .jpg in the search field select all and remove. Used to be the perfect solution for PP 2015, but not anymore!

When typing something in the search field, premiere now shows you the entire folder/bin structure of the files you are looking for. Trying to select the first one, hold shift and select the last one will cause to select (and delete) all the folders in between and what's in them. Don't want that.

Great let's create a search bin with .jpg. Search Bins does not allow you to delete what's in them.

How can we select 2000+ .jpg files without selecting anything else? and being able to do whatever we want with them (delete, move, label, etc...) without it affecting what's in between?

Is there a way to change the way the the projects shows files after a search? more specifically to only show the files without the folder/bin structure?

Oh by the way, if in thumbnail view, the search does not show anything if you have plenty of bins

The easiest turn around to batch select and batch delete a huge bunch of files of the same type that are present in several bins without selecting the bins in between is the following.

Case study: Project has 10 bins, each bin has another 4 bins and each bin has a selection of photos and videos. There is almost 2000+ photos and each and every bin has photos inside.

If you search for .jpg, premiere will reveal all the photos by automatically opening the bins. The current to do it is to select the first file, press shift and select the last file, however the bins in between gets selected and everything in them will be deleted. so we select the first file in each bin, press shift and select the last file before the next bin. that's 40 bins we have to go through.

Search bins will gather all .jpg in one bin but search bins does not allow to delete.

Solution: Type .jpg in the search field, all .jpg will be revealed. Right click on any of them --> label --> select label group. Voila! All .jpg files are selected without selecting the bins in between. You can go ahead and delete, move, cut, copy...

IMPORTANT: It is important to reveal your files by typing .jpg in the search filed. "Select label group" will only select files that are revealed.

It is also important to have your bins' label unique and different than everything else (preferences --> Labels)
