The function you are looking for is available as a hot-key, but it's not assigned to any key as default. To assign it to a key go to 'keyboard shortcuts' uner the edit pull-down menu, or press Ctrl-Alt-K (pc). In the search box below the virtual keyboard that appears type "Select In to Out" (w/o quotes).  When it appears in the left-side list, click and drag it to a key of your choice, such as F3. Note: if you click any modifier key (ctrl, alt, shift) on the virtual keyboard before you drag the command to your key of choice, then you will be adding that/those modifiers to your new hot-key (e.g. Ctrl-F3). The track target selectors on the left side of the timeline are still in play for this selection process.

    This is a great solution but I found a bug (maybe?). It didnt select the caption track in mine. Am I missing anything? I'm using version 24.1.0

    On a real basic level let's think

    If I use source monitor ( panel ) and choose in out points to drag into timeline, that's one use of in out points.

    If I make a final edit and only want to EXPORT ( make movie final product ) I can shrink the timeline using CTI and use SAVE AS ( my new smaller export for example as a file name and new project name).

     

    So, what's the big deal ??

    Or, when you set your In and Out in the Timeline, when you export, you can export just your In-to-Out (that's actually what's going to export by default 😉

    What do you mean? What exactly are you trying to do?

    Are you talking about selecting clips on the Timeline?

    Yeah, I want to select all clips on all tracks between point 1 and point 2 on my timeline...

    Toggle Track Targeting on the left of the Timeline for the Video track you want to affect In to Out.
