Sequence setting for editing Sony 4K XAVC files.

Hi, I ask you for kind help.
I need to edit Sony 4K XAVC files, 3840 x 2160 pixels, 25fps.
Premiere reads the files but automatically opens a project in HD (???)
I would like to edit the files with a 4k sequence to be exported with HEVC codec in 4k.

Can you recommend the best video sequence setting to use?
Thanks

If you right-click a 4K clip in the Project Bin, then select New Sequence from Clip, that ought to create a proper 4K sequence to match the clip. Please try that then look under Sequence Settings and see what the specs are. If not 4K, something funny is going on

    Thanks

Glad to hear the issue is resolved. For others reading, best practice is the following:

Create a NEW folder on your video hard drive for each SD card from camera.

Copy ENTIRE contents of one SD card to one folder. Include everything from the SD card...it matters (metadata)

In Premiere, use Media Browser to locate and Import files from hard drive.

This makes the whole editing experience better in general, resolves a lot of potential issues

    Thanks

I thank you for the advice.
    I solved!!!
I didn't import the metadata ... Now Premiere automatically opens a sequence with correct settings.
    Thanks again

Create a custom one, name it "1 Sony". Then just match the media specs for framesize/rate, fps, and audio channels.
