Shakey/jittering effect on image layer on top of video after render

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering a shaky/jittery effect in the rendered footage that I'm working on. I'm not encountering the issue when I play back the pre-rendered footage in Premiere.

Here's a link to the current render: https://youtu.be/g_KgLq599lo

Project details: The video is of a musical performance, so I have images of the sheet music popping up in the lower right-hand corner. These are JPEG files that I screenshot from the PDF of the original transcription. The jittery effect appears to only be happening to these JPEG files during the transition from one image to the next. I used the crop effect and the movement effect on the images. I also used the Lumetri Color effect on the main video. I've tried removing all effects other than crop, but the render issue has stayed consistent.

Trouble shooting so far: I've tried deleting unused files in my Media Cache, rendering the video without the added effects (other than crop), exporting at max render quality, and switching my renderer from Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only.

My system: I'm running Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019 on a PC with Windows 10. The program is running on my C drive (SSD), and the session is being pulled from an additional internal D drive (HDD). I am also rendering the footage to the D drive.

Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help me troubleshoot this! As the issue is fairly specific, I haven't had any luck searching the forums.

I should also mention that the images are rendering quite a bit blurrier than they should be over all. The images that I'm using look pretty clear when I'm looking at a still frame in the playback window, but get blurry when I start the playback/in the rendered video. My playback is set to full/high quality playback, but that doesn't seem to be making a difference.

So I think I've somewhat solved my problem. After digging around a few more forums, I found a post suggesting rendering to Windows Media/HDTV 720p 24 High Quality.

After changing that, my video looks much better. I'm sure that there's more that I can do to improve my rendering/video quality, but I'll have to save that research for another day!

I hope this answer helps someone with a similar issue. Thanks for your help Ann!

Cheers

I dont see anything jittery except the image are not well composed in the frame.

If you align the horizontal lines in the music sheets all the same heigth as well as the text at the top it would not look as jumpy.

I put two image on top of each other and they dont fit.

Thank you for getting back to me! I went ahead and made the corrections that you suggested to the first 13 seconds or so of the video. I also removed the "roughen edges" effect. It seems to have mostly solved the issue.

I'm still noticing a small bit of shakyness. Particulary when the first image appears. I'm very new to video editing, so I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious!

Thanks again for your reply!
