Simplify Sequence in Premiere Beta 24.3.0 not working

I'm in Premiere Pro Beta, 24.3.0 (Build 8).

Attempting to simplify a sequence. I select the option, click create, and nothing happens.

Edit: MacBook Pro 2019. 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9. On MacOS 13.5.
