Does anyone know if there is a way to skip to the next clip in the source window? Rather than having to go back to Project Window and click on the next clip?
Cheers,
Arthur
There are keyboard shortcuts that are unassigned by default so you could map these.
Select multiple clips in the project panel then right-click and choose 'Open in Source Monitor' to load them all into the source. You could then use the keyboard shortcuts you have assigned to advance through your clips.
Alternatively you can click the 3 bar button to activate a dropdown to choose clips.

Yeah that has worked! Though is there a limit on how many source files you can have open in the source monitor?

I'm not sure, though unless you're trying to load in hundreds of clips in one go, I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Seem to be about 50 is the limit, I am guessing there is no way to increase this?

I am cooking show video editor with a single presenter. It's filmed over an hour or so with multiple shots, but the shots are all in chronological order. So it would be usefull to be able to load them all into the source monitor then once I put down the first shot from Cam B & C, I wouldn't have to flick back to the Project Window but just ciycle through to the next shot.
Sorry if that's not a great explanation haha

Sounds like you should be using a 'multicam' workflow. Have you considered this? Your clips will then all be in order in one multicam clip.

yeah I have tried that, but because the style of the show, though it is filmed in multiple it doesn't really have a multi-cam feel to it.
Though is there a way to get premiere to take a whole bunch of footage and see which ones match up? That would be useful? Rather than having to find and match each individual clip?

I'm looking for a similar solution, but not a multicam situation.
lets say I have 20 clips from a day of shooting. My workflow for assembling a video would be as follows:
-Open clip #1 in source window by double-clicking the clip in project window
-Scroll through clip in source window by clicking and dragging the playhead and use left hand to press I, O, and 'comma' to mark in/out points and insert the clips into my timeline.
-Repeat for each subsequent clip in the project window by double clicking to open in source window
Maybe I'm missing something and should be doing it differently?

I think im missing something. How do i add a keyboard shortcut if there is no command to do it? I cant find any command to move forward one clip in the source monitor. So I dont see any way to add this to the keyboard shortcuts.

See the Keyboard Shortcuts panel up above? It's on Windows at the bottom of the Edit menu.
Search for "source" and you'll get a list of Source panel shortcuts, like is shown in the pic above. Set a shortcut for the "Source: next clip" option.

As a Wedding editor I trim 1k to 2k footage in a day so everytime double click on clip to load in source window is not so fast If They made shortcut like FCP arrow down or up to just load next clip in source window then it would be so fast to hover all clips recently we have Shift+1 (to go project panel) next arrow key to select next clip then shift+O to load in source can't they just make one keyboard shortcuts in source panel to go forward press down arrow and go backwards press up arrow also it's possible in premiere but you have to load clips in source panel and the limit is 50 something so after every 50 clip load another 50 that's just wate of time I don't know they will make this shortcut or not I'm just using double click right now
