Slowing down 24fps?

Is there anything that can be done with 24fps to slow the footage down even slightly? OR will it just not come out looking good at all?

    the program has to do what's called 'tweening' like as in 'in between', to create new frames in between existing ones, which is usually not a very cool looking thing … it basically is trying to create something that you shot at, say, 48 fps, ( by making those in between frames) and then playing it back at 24 fps, so it looks like it's slow motion a little bit.

    In reality you don't really get nice slow motion until you shoot ( really shoot from camera ) around 120 fps, and play it back at 24 fps, in my opinion.

    So, basically, yeah, you're right .. it's kinda a waste of time to try and slow up 24 fps where it looks good.

    I have found that using Optical Flow can give some very good results in slowing down video. It is something that you need to try as this technique works better on some content than others. A word of warning: do not use optical flow on a piece of video containing cuts as these become quite distorted, You need to apply the effect on a shot by shot basis.
