Smart Player Option(s) for Premiere?

Hi,

Making the switch from Camtasia to Premiere. Need to know if Premiere offers a Smart Player (or whatever Premiere's is called) option upon export... so that some screen objects are clickable in the final file when posted on a website (hot spots). Also, built-in table of contents support.

Please fill me in.

Thank you.

Hi there r_tist,

Nice to hear from you. Camtasia offers those features? That's pretty cool. No such things exist for Premiere Pro, I'm afraid. Great ideas, though. You can create a feature request here: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro Make a separate post for each request, if you don't mind.

Thanks,

Kevin

r_tist, played with this a bit. The camtasia smart player option reminds me of the old flash days....

Maybe so, but it requires no additional browser plugins for the end-user. It just works.

So... if Premiere nor After Effects offer such interactivity, what is most of the population using to get a small bit of interactivity - any other Adobe CC options... Adobe Captive? (thinking for eLearning style videos)

As Kevin mentioned, no such feature exists in Premiere. How are you exporting from Camtasia (with clickable objects)? As a video?

When you export from Camtasia, a folder with a collection of files outputs: the mp4, a skin layer with the smart player, an xml, a css file and js file.
You upload all those to the web and that's how the upper most layer has some interactivity.

So, what if you need a clickable call to action button at end of a presentation in Premiere? How are you handling that?

You can't do that in Premiere. Premiere doesn't support any kind of interactivity from the user (neither does After Effects).

If you were creating some animations, you could do that in Animate. It allows you to add interactivity.
