Question

Some of the images rotated after exporting

Hello all,

I am working in Adobe Premiere Pro on my project, and I have troubles with this issue:

some of the short videos I added to my timeline are in correct position while I am working on them, but when I export the project, half of them are rotated by 180, and another half by 90.

Why does this happen?

The ones that are rotated by 180 after exporting were not rotated to begin with (in the process), I just slightly resized them and moved them to the left, others, by 90, which were initially vertical, I rotated manually into horizontal position, to fit the frame size.

How can I prevent their unwanted additional rotation during exporting process, or, how do I achieve the images to look like I positioned them in the first place, in the timeline?

I hope I was clear, if not, I can explain further.

Thank you

Edit: I am currently exporting another project, and entire video is vertical, although I changed it from vertical to horizontal, rotating it clockwise in timeline. Is there a problem with my settings or preferences? I must say I didn´t have those problems before, and I´m working in Premiere for a long time.

Still facing this issue, Volpina? Update Premiere Pro and let us know if you are still having trouble.

Thanks,

Kevin

Are all the videos (the rotated and not rotated) from the same source?

No. There are about 50 clips (in total), all of the videos are recorded with Samsung Galaxy J3, and I also added some gifs that I made from my photos in photomosh.com and some of my photos.

Videos, gifs and photos are placed in various folders (in different places). However, that wasn´t a problem at all in the first round about three weeks ago, before I started to add more videos. Also, some videos are initially shot horizontally, others vertically, but rotation fixed it and I created what I wanted. So, I changed positions of still and moving images and I rotated them, and after exporting everything looked as it should.

But few days ago, I imported few more videos (shot with same mobile phone, also from different folders), and I got these issues with rotating.

I do remember that once, while importing one of the videos, I received a notion from Premiere Pro about changing settings, but, I cannot recall what kind of question exactly was that and what did I click.

PS. I also added numerous effects to those problematic images, such as levels, brightness and contrast, black and white, and on some of them, invert, as I did with previous visual files, and it works fine. Rotation is the only issue.

Today I tried to nest all visual files, and then group them, hoping that problematic ones will stick with the main sequence and other added files, but none of that worked in exporting.
