Sound running in Slow Motion

Question

Hello!

I am trying to edit a video but every time I import the file and play it back, the sound is going at a super slow speed. I've tried three different versions of the file. I've tried putting it through media encoder (whole film and sound only). None of these things are working.

Does anyone have any ideas?

If the solution offered by Ann Bens doesn't work, please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate before importing into Premiere Pro:

Shutter Encoder may also be used to convert to Constant Frame Rate:
