speeding up clip without distorting audio

I want to create the audio effect of playing a youtube video at 2x speed, but when i put my video clip into premiere and put the speed to 200X and click the "maintain audio pitch," the audio still comes out echo-y and distorted.  is there a better method?

    At twice the speed, it will be distorted.

    youtube does double speed so well.  what should i use to achieve that effect?

    Consider running it through Adobe Audition and find out if if it does a better job.

    If not to your liking, render out your montage, upload it to YouTube, play it back at 2x speed, record the audio from YouTube and then edit that recording back into your sequence.
