Stretch time duration of a clip to Playhead shortcut?

Hello! Sorry if i'm posting this at the wrong place but, for months i've trying to acomplish this and its been impossible!
Im wondering if there is any Shortcuts to Extend a clip's time duration to the playhead?
What i mean is, for example:
My clip on the time line is 5 seconds long, but it needs to fit my on top of my 10 second long narration; In order for me to make the clip fit the audio, i have to Press "R" and then click and drag the clip untill it gets to 10 seconds long! To make it worse, all clips always have different lengths! So if i can stretch the duration of the selected clip to playhead with a single button, it would change my life for ever!
I need a shortcut for that! Its adding lots of hours to my weekly routine, i have to do this thousands of times! Please, help!!

Hey Thales,

I'm not aware of a similar shortcut, you can post a feature request in the Ideas section of the Premiere Pro community. You can set the clip speed duration (Ctrl + R) to a specific duration by clicking on the timecode next to the Duration option if that helps as a workaround.

Thanks,

Ishan

Thank you very much, Ishan!!

I'll try posting it in the ideas section that you mentioned!! The problem with ctrl r is that the clips are never the same length 😕😕

A workaround it with autohokey maybe could be vial, but i have no idea how to code it 😕😕

Happy to help! If you have After Effects, you can adjust the Duration field and have more control over where the clip ends in the timeline. However, this workflow might not be practical for you.
