Suddenly selecting a clip selects all clips in the timeline

I've checked to make sure that I have the selection tool (V) selected and not the other selection tools (track select backwards or forwards). The only solution I've found to this is to hold alt and drag-select a clip, but I'd rather not have to do that permanently.

Thanks in advance! (Premiere Pro CC 2018)

I think you accidentally grouped the clips.
Select all clips, right mouse button, and then "ungroup".

Absolutely - it fixed itself after awhile, not exactly sure how. It took several days / restarts

    Hi DreamOn21,

Sorry for the issue. It might be an issue with corrupted Workspace or preferences.

    Reset the workspace & test.

If the issue persists, reset the preferences. FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?

Please let us know the status.

    Thanks,

    Vidya.
