Hi everyone,

I am working right now on an hour documentary and I am trying to sync all the audio. But when I put both of my files on the timeline and press synchronise it take forever to do the dead. I don't think its normal I see people doing in in seconds in online tutorials. I have a new MAC mini M1 with 16gb of RAM. I am freaking out cause I need to get this done by the end of the week but so far doing it manually with matching the waveform is faster but it seems ridiculous that in 2021 with a brand new Mac that I encounter issues with syncing audio files in my timeline ARG,. Please help me! I am editing with MXF files video info 3840x2160  23.976 fps.  48000Hz - stereo Color space: Rec 709

Thanks

M.

Instead of syncing all the audio files in one go..try doing it one by one in the Project Panel and see if it works.

Thanks for your fast reply. I also tried and it works but it is still super slow. I did that in the past in it take 2 sec. Would it be a probleme with the codec or where my media is link to my hard drive?  Media and Capture scrath are going in my SSD external drive sandisk 1TB and the project and the native media files are in my 5TB mobile ext drive.

Thanks

Another thing that might help. Set the audio gain to normalize all peaks to say -6dB. This gets the audio as close to simliar as possible. Then try to sync the tracks.
