Sync issues Premiere Pro 22

Post-sound sync issues after I updated to PP 2022. Sound is falling out of sync after I export it. Within timeline, it is in sync. I'm exporting h.264, matching high bitrate, sound 48hz, 320 bit. This seems to be an ongoing problem for a lot of people and I’m not seeing fix. I’ve tried all of the suggestions in all of the forums I could find and nothing works.

I have spent countless hours/days trying to fix this and NOTHING works! I've used HandBrake, I've used WinX, I've used VideoProC Converter. I've tried exporting with every setting under the sun. I NEVER had this problem until the update to 2022. I tried saving/converting my clips as dji, m4v and mp4. I've run it through a couple tests to see if there are VFR issues... none detected. I ran the clips through Mediainfo and everything is Constant Frame Rate. I've tried opening it in a previous version, now I lose all of my transitions and one track of audio won’t play (that’s a whole other story that I’ve wasted hours trying to fix with no success). At this point I'm looking at recreating the dang thing from scratch (Update: I did recrate it and its doing the same thing). I shot the footage on a DJI Pocket Pro 2 - same as I have for the past year (and 20 videos) with zero issues, until now. Originally the frame rate was 29.97, one tutorial said to change it to 30 - it still does the same thing! Video/Audio are synced perfectly until I export. The video is 23 minutes long and the audio gradually falls out of sync worse and worse with each passing minute - it plays the same way on Chrome, Quicktime, Media Player, Real Player, Movies & TV for crying out loud; I downloaded VLC and it made no difference. I have deleted 1 section at a time and exported (for every clip) to see if I have a corrupt clip – I get the same sync issue regardless. WHAT IS IT!?!?!?! Please somebody help me!!! My system is AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3400GE w/ Radeon Vega Graphics 3.30 GHz, 64 bit OS, Running Windows 10 Pro with 448 GB Free storage. I am working off a Server but have also tried working off my desktop to see if it would make a difference. This Premiere Pro file has been through the ringer and I have yet to get an exported file with the audio synced. I’ve been working on finding a fix for 2 weeks now and I'm about to lose my job because I have already missed my deadline and wasted so. much. time.

I too am encoutnering this. The video export will play fine inside of VLC but not Quicktime. It seems to drift over time, and doesn't reflect the edit/sync that's in the timeline.

I have been having this issue for multiple projects. I noticed it around the beginning of the year. When I contacted Adobe about it, their response was to copy/paste everything from the original timeline onto a new one (not duplicating). Surprisingly, this worked! Why? I have no idea, but they said the issue is probably due to data corruption in the original sequence from using it over time. That doesn't seem to make sense to me, as this hasn't happened before. Granted this issue is noticeable in larger projects with multiple imports that take days to edit vs smaller daily sequences.

If there is no true fix to this bug, that is very annoying. Especially after careful editing/sound mixing, having to hope and pray the export doesn't have random sync issues when the timeline is perfectly fine.

What's also annoying is when I keyframe audio effects onto each audio layer. When I copy/paste clips from the original to the new sequence, it doesn't carry audio track mixing keyframes. To copy those, each audio effect, plus sub-effects (for example mix and gain from reverb effect) have to be manually selected ONE KEY FRAME at a time. That could be dozens. Niche complaint but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Hopefully Abobe can fix this .

Same issue, playback is not in sync with AP 22. Never had this problem but with update 22 is an interview always out of sync after a view minuts of editing. The update is very bad in several ways. Adobe shame on you with a professional product.

Sorry you are having this problem, too. I wish I could suggest a fix for you but I had to switch to a different platform. I am happy to report that I was able to finish my video but disappointed to say that it wasn't completed with Premiere Pro. I used Final Cut Pro to complete my video without any issues.

I'm also having the same thing happen. I thought I was going crazy. The video plays fine in VLC but not in Premier Pro 2022. As you described, it gets progressively worse as the clip continues.

I also tried changing the extension from MP4 to MOV. That did not work.

I double hecked that the Variable Frame Rate Mode is set to "Preserve Audio Sync" and it is. Not sure what else to do.

4k, but I ran it through a few video sharing sites and it was still out of sync so 4k/8k is not the problem. It is a moot point now as I am switching to Final Cut Pro. I find it a bit disappointing that these issues seem to be affecting a lot of people and its the same song and dance when really it seems to be a Premiere Pro 2022 software issue that is not being addressed. My job is on the line, I cannot fuss with this anymore

Has anything changed audio-wise at all?

Can I also ask what the source format is for audio - is it lossy, and how are you handling it in Premiere? Are all files properly conformed? (I ask as I have seen some video files defaulting to 44.1, which will be awful if you don't notice in time - believe me on that one as I have been there & done that) and I have also noticed that using mp3 as source can drop sync gradually as well.

The more file details the better please - including project settings, sequence settings & export settings

I have used the same "system" for recording and editing videos for about a year now and have not changed anything. We record video on a DJI Pocket 2 and audio using the wireless microphone transmitter for the DJI. The clips import into Premiere Pro as mp4 files. Audio: 48000 Hz - 32 bit - Stereo. I tried opening Premiere Pro to get other file details such as project settings and I now can't get it to open. My system freezes and crashes while trying to open Premiere Pro 2022. I'm done... I'm moving to Final Cut Pro - this is very disappointing

Try uploading it as a test to see if it plays back normally online. Does it play OK there? Sometimes your computer cannot playback a certain kind of HEVC or H.264 4K file. Try exporting a HD version of your program. Does it playback OK on your desktop apps now?

I did try that, I tested it in Chrome, Firefox and Edge browsers. At first I used the setting I've always used: h.264, matching high bitrate, sound 48hz, 320 bit. Because that did not work I tried a number of settings and different combinations of settings. I've done at least 20 other videos with no trouble; only this most recent one, since I updated a couple weeks ago, is the one that I'm having trouble with.
