sync settings to Creative Cloud

I am switching from one Mac to another (using my work Adobe ID) and am trying to "Sync Settings", meaning I'd like to upload my Premiere settings (specifically, my Workspaces and View Presets) to my work Adobe ID's Creative Cloud, then download those settings onto the other Mac. It feels like "Sync Settings" keeps being moved from one Premiere version to another and I always have trouble finding it. I think it used to be on the Start Page, or the Premiere Pro menu; but I can't find them there anymore. I tried searching "Sync Settings" in the Premiere Forum and a bunch of unrelated posts came up.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks again for this terrific and helpful Forum!

Unfortunately, Sync Settings is gone. It was removed a while back with other elements of Creative Cloud storage.

My advice would be to either manually copy your most important settings (Keyboard Shortcuts, presets) between the user account folders on the two Macs; that folder is in your Documents folder. You can also use an app like Chronosync to keep the entire folder (all settings) in sync.

Thanks, @John V Knowles. Is it possible to put my settings on a shared space (i.e., LucidLink or NEXIS) and point Premiere to it? Where are View Presets kept? I see where Workplaces are (I can figure out which ones are mine by Date Created).

Your View Presets will be in the "Metadata Preferences" folder in your user profile folder.

Unfortunately I don't know of a way to tell Premiere to store those settings anywhere else besides your user folder. I use a syncing app a lot (Chronosync, but there are others) and I would set up a folder in Dropbox for example to sync them to, then sync down to the other Mac on the other end -- sort of replicating the up/down sync we used to have in Sync Settings.
