To resolve the issue, try selecting the Mixdown option instead of choosing a specific audio track number when syncing.

Here’s why this matters:

  • The audio track number you select for syncing corresponds to the channel numbers labeled on the clips (e.g., Ch 1, Ch 2, etc.).
  • In your first attempt, you’re syncing with Track 1, but there’s no audio signal on Ch 1 for the top clip. When you try syncing with Track 3, there’s no audio signal on Ch 3 for the lower clip.
  • Even if you delete some audio clips in the Timeline, the channel numbers don’t change, so this won’t affect the syncing process.

Good video, showing the issue quite clearly. Though if you could embed it 'here' more would watch it. Most won't go to an external player for a video from who knows who.

I don't "synchronize" hardly at all, as I always use the multicam process.

Paul,

This is perhaps one of those cases where it takes someone with your level of knowledge to understand. And truthfully, the vast majority of us normal people don't have nearly your level of knowledge.
