Background of a text frame was set up to fill in all the frame now, after update it will just fill text with nop margins. Any Idea how to change it? The appearence are all changed in all the aold file s too.

Just a wild guess:

Try a different font.

Have you tried the Size slider under Background?

Yes, it scales it in both directions.
Before background was by default delimited by the red frame now it's limited by text (see the screenshot)
