Text based editing - transcripts

Hi, I have a two part question regarding text-based editing features:
1) Does it only work with transcripts created by Premiere?
(Or can you somehow link pre-existing transcripts (by an outside transcription company) to the footage like Scriptsync?)

2) If it only works with transcripts created by Premiere, is there a workflow to combine multiple clips into one transcript? For instance, I have an interview with John Doe that is 10 video clips, but would like to combine them into one transcript that still links to video? (it's so much easier to word search one document than 10)

Thanks,

Rob

Hi !

Thank you for your feedback!

on 1) - yes this only works with transcripts generated by premiere pro as it depends on the exact word timings and not just the words themselves.
on 2). you can just add all clips into a single sequence and search in there - this has been a common workflow to allow for global project search in transcriptions.

Best regards,

 Alexander
