Text Moving and Text Box Issues

Hello all.

I am using the text box feature and am having trouble.

1. At first I was able to put my mouse in the middle or anywhere inside of the text box and was able to drag and move the text box where I want. The rectangle outline around the text was BLUE. I am trying to get back to this function of the text box where I can drag it where I want.

2. I double clicked inside the text box to change the color of one word and was able to highlight words and characters within the text box. The rectangle outline around the text box has turned RED. Also wherever I click now it creates a text box automatically (I don't want this). I want to get back to how the text box function was in step 1 (blue rectangle) but can't figure out how.

My question is how do I get the text box to function like it did in step 1? (where I can click and drag it wherever I want without highlighting or creating a new text box wherever I click.) I feel it is a simple solution I am just not seeing a certain button or something.

When I close Premiere and open it again it goes back to the blue rectangle around the text box isntead of red (which is what I want).

Attached below are images of the outline rectangle around the text box being blue (step 1) and the outline rectangle around the text box being red (step 2).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

To toggle between the editing of a text box (red) and positioning of a text box (blue), simpy hit either the V on your keyboard or select the T-icon in the tools bar.

Hope this helps.
