Question

The bar at the top with color, audio etc is missing - how do I get it back?

I've come to the end of my patience with Premiere Pro and after using it for nearly 15 years I am for the first time thinking of changing. It's been crashing like crazy over the last few days and nothing I do can fix it. I've reset preferences now to factory settings, it's still crashing, but now I've lost the bar at the top with Color, Audio, Effects etc. I've searched google and here to try to get it back, but without knowing what it's called I'm getting no help, so I am hoping someone here can help me fix the issue. Thanks!

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Eventually found the answer to this when I found out it's called the workspaces bar, then I did a search on reddit and found out you click on workspaces, then 'show workspace tab' - just in case anyone else has the same problem. I couldn't find the solution as I couldn't find out what the thing was called. Hasn't solved the crashing but it's one less problem anyway.
