The importer reported a generic error

Hello

I've seen multiple things on how to fix this but nothing is helping. I have had all of this footage imported into a prject for 9 months now and all of a sudden half of them are "missing". When I re-link them it says the same thing over and over. I've uninstalled premiere and re imported everything, nothing is working

sometimes O.S. (operating systems like mac and windows) update stuff when you don't know it or care.

Same with Adobe stuff, sometimes it updates to new version without user knowing it is happening.

 

If that happens sometimes the 'permissions' to access certain drives or media are reset in a way where you no longer have rights to read and write to that media. See if that's your problem via OS tools.
