This file has an unsupported compression type

I'm shooting 4k video @60 & 120fps ALL-I and I cannot import the shots into Premiere. I receive the follwoing error:

"This file has an unsupported compression type"

It should be noted that these clips are coming from a Canon EOS R5

Am i missing a codec? Premiere & windows are fully up to date. Appreciate your help in advance, my system specs shouldn't be terribly relevant, but here's what I can recall:

Windows 10, latest ver/update

Adobe Premiere, latest ver/update
3.50 gigahertz Intel Core i7-7800X

32GB DDR4 RAM
Dedicated SSD scratch disk for Premiere (app installed to and running off separate SSD)
GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

It *should* work ... could be a bug in Premiere Pro 14.7??

You could perhaps try rolling back to 14.5 or 14.3.2 (14.3 was the first version to support R5 footage) and see if it then works.
