Timecode Issue on Quicktime player on MAC

hi internet. here is korea.

 

my problem is display timecode on quicktime player of mac.

 

point is, same MOV file has DIFFERENT timecode on QT Player.

 

if i open MOV file and display timecode set to Elapsed Time. it will be displayed 01:57:42.

and then, i set to timecode option to SMPTED timecode. it will be displayed 01:57:35:04

01:57:42. vs 01:57:35

 

what the 7 seconds?

all of the MOV file i had dose not this issue. but, some MOV file has this timecode confuse issue.


i wonder, why this confuse happen. and how to fix it(what displaye method is correct?,,,)

 

 

i attached some photo of reference. (i import this MOV file to PR. and look at properties... mediainfo...)

 

 

please. help. i wonder.

Hello the issue comes from the difference between 24fps vs 23.976fps.

1H57 and 42 seconds= 7062 seconds; divided by 24= 294.25 multiplied by 23.976=7054 seconds = 1 hours 57 minutes and 35 seconds.
