Timeline audio glitch in Premiere

I can't drag audio into the time line if I've made an in-out selction.

It will only let me drag the full audio file into timeline.

I'm using 2025, it's fully updated, I've restarted Premiere and my computer multiple times.

Still having same problem.

@JohnKpower

Thanks for the video.  That's not what you want to see.  Did this just start happening?  How did the other audio get on the timeline?  Have you reset your cache and restarted Premiere?  I couldn't reproduce the behavior with a quick test, so we need a few more details to try to help with the issue. Please see: How do I report a Problem?  Sorry for the frustration, and thanks for reaching out.

Hi @JohnKpower,

Where are you trying to drag the audio from?  Does Inset/Overwrite work?  Can you send a screen recording of the problem?  I hope we can help you shortly.
