Question

Timeline is Missing Frames

I have a premiere pro project that I am editing at 30fps. At the one minute mark 3 frames dissapear FROM THE TIMELINE. Not from the video, or the effects, or and bonus elements, but from the timeline itself.

Look at these images; it skips from 59;29 to 1;00;02

3 Frames are just outright missing. What????? Anyone know where these went? Or if it even matters?

Did you ever figure this out? I was wondering the same thing.

It seems that your sequence is set to 29,97 Drop Frame Timecode and thus frames will be dropped. Change to either 29,97 Non-Drop-Frame Timecode or just 30 if you footage is 30 fps rather than 29,97.

EDIT: Or don´t change anything if your source footage is drop frame. More info: Drop-Frame Timecode Definition - Adobe Premiere Pro Explained (tella.tv)

Sequence > Sequence Settings and then change the Timebase. (...and maybe Display Format)

To change, go to Sequence > Sequence Settings and change the Timebase from 29,97 to 30.

The best thing is to verify the frame rate on your source footage and match that to the setting in the Sequence. Any mis-match will creep up when you export.
