Timeline Jump when stopping the playback in No Scroll mode

Premise: I work with the "Timeline Playback Auto-scrolling" set to No Scroll.

Now, let's say my timeline is playing but I'm doing some other stuff on another section of the timelife, hence the current time indicator is not within sight. Is there a chance I can stop the playback without jumping onto the section of the timeline where the current time indicator is? That is, is there a chance I can stop the playback wihout a jump on the timeline?

Cheers

Hi Davide Boscolo,

We're sorry about this. Currently, in this workflow, the start/stop playback command would return to the place where CTI is during the playback. Instead of using the start/stop playback command, you may use the keyboard shortcut for Move Playhead to Cursor (Keyboard shortcuts > Timeline panel) to bring the CTI back to a place on the current timeline view. This might need an extra step as you would need to place your cursor on the timeline where you want the CTI to return & then use the keyboard shortcut for Move Playhead to Cursor. Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Sumeet

The "Move Playhead to Cursor" does the trick. Thanks

This is default behavior. Stop playback and playhead will be in the middle of the timeline. No way to change this.
