Timeline track shading and colour

I would like to change the shading or colour of select tracks in my timeline. Particularly I would like to make every second track a different shade of grey to make the tracks moire easily distinguishable from one another as well as make it easier to place media in the correct tracks. Is this possible?

    As Ann suggested you will have to make a feature request for it because currently you can't change the track colour however you do have the option to change the colour / labels of the clips to different colours by selecting them and right click labels > choose labels.
