This is apparenlty a software issue as I use other editing softwares (Avid and Resolve) and there is no difference between monitors for timeline scrubbing.
I provided a video to showcase the problem. I'm speaking in French during the video, but the problem is visually obvious.
I have taken the usual steps for troubleshooting: including restarting, trashing preferences, trashing media cache, updating the Premiere version, etc.
Thanks for your help resolving this.

Thanks Kevin,
The issue is greatly improved with the recent Premiere updates which seem to focus on the issue of timeline performance. I also was able to update the Mac OS to the latest version which may have helped.
Having said that, Premiere's timeline performance is still slower than Avid on my computer. Any further gains on that front would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Ps: Also worth mentioning, lowering the resolution (1/2, 1/4, 1/8) has never led to any noticeable increase of timeline speed on my system, which I find surprising. Any ideas why? (I work in ProRes)

Hi @Sylvain0D4D,
Thanks for the info. Glad things have smoothed out for you a bit with the current version. As for the issue you have now, what kind of footage are you editing? Is the footage the same in Avid, or is it transcoded? As far as resolutions go, they should improve when you drop them to a lower res. I think I'd need to test that with the footage you are using, as well.
I hope I can help you with a few more details.
Thanks!
Kevin
