Timeline zooms out when moving clips

Every time I move a clip I'm working with on the timeline, the whole timeline zooms out and makes it harder for me to make accurate dropping.

is this a bug, or is it just something I've done poorly?

I'm using a MacBook Pro 13" 2015

    Had this issue in 2020, Solution is to restart your computer. Always restart the program first, if that doesn't work, then restart the computer. If it's still buggy after that, then search online for solutions.

      If Premiere is acting weird trash preferences.

      As for the third screen that might be the culprit.

        I'm having the same issue with my Premiere Pro CC (v12.1 Kentos). I've never had this issue until this morning and it is VERY annoying. The only thing I've done was move my Program preview window to a third display and that's when it started. Any fix to this yet?
