The option file>export>title has disappeared, how do I export a title as an prtl file now?

I know it's still essential to some shops to be able to export the Titler files as templates and it is still quite possible ... by having a previous build version installed on you machine also.

With 2017 (build 11.x), you could install say 2015.3 (build 10.x). Need a title template? Open 2015.3, in a project just for title creation, make that new title and save as prtl, then in your 2017 project, media browser: navigate to and double click the template project file from 2015.3.

You can import any of the assets from that project into your current project.

read further mate. all the premier stuff starts half way down. honestly, this developer has saved my life.

I had SRT for a feature which needs massive re-timing work. So now I can import the old srt, then work in motion titles, and then at the end get back to SRT.

I've nothing against the principle of Premiere Captions, and they have their uses, but my god, they are FIDDLY to re-time!!!!

    What a hero!

    Hi Sancocho Público,

That option has been removed in the latest version of Premiere Pro (CC 2017).

You can still create titles in the legacy titler, but cannot export them as '.prtl'. FAQ: Where is the Legacy Titler in Premiere Pro CC 2017 (11.1) located?

You can save your titles as Motion graphics templates in the new Essential Graphics.

Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Essential Graphics Panel

    Create title graphics |

Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks,
