32 GB of RAM is the bare minimum that Adobe suggests in their Hardware recommendations: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/hardware-recommendations.html

My system is from early 2017 and features 128 GB of RAM. Although replacing this system is on top of the list for this year, I know now that I will not hold back on the size of RAM (I'll probably go for 256 or 512 GB in the next one). Predominantly After Effects uses a lot of RAM, but PPro also works better if more of it is readily available. If you want your system to last as long as mine (6 years), spending extra on components is the way to achieve that.

Another way to increase speed of your system is to buy a dedicated m.2 drive for temp files only.

So my best advise is see if you can replace the RAM sticks for larger versions or add additional ones in your system.

Hope this helps.
