Track Lock slows down Premiere

This is going to sound weird, but if I have a track locked, specifically first audio track and scrub/edit... it takes 3-5 seconds for changes to happen or for the scrubber to move places on the timeline. The moment I click to unlock the track lock, everything can breathe and runs smooth again.

I have 3070TI and AMD Ryzen 5950X. My drivers are updated, premiere is updated, and windows is up to date.

I have very specific color labels on a lot of projects I don't really have the time to redo everything I have set up over the last couple of years

This has been noted, even in the current public beta. Rather annoying, as well ... locking tracks is a pretty common thing to do.

At first I thought my computer was just slow because of dust. I ended up cleaning the whole rig physically then getting rid of all cache files/junk files in pc, even switched to creative drivers from nvidia. Locking tracks are cruicial in big projects, so I can't just unlock them because I can't afford to accidentally cut tracks..

It would be nice to get this actually acknowledged ... it's been reported both here and over on the beta board by users that are rather experienced, and have their rigs totally customized for PrPro work.

@mattchristensen  ... could any of the staffers comment on this?
