Transcribe a clip and use the Text Window to copy

In Version 23.4 when I use the new Transcribe tool in the text window for text based editing sometimes I need to "Copy Paste" text content for usage in graphics. I cannot find a way to actually copy any text in the text window. I can highlight the text, but the menu items for Copy are grayed out. Can anyone else confirm this? I know I can export the entire transcription to a document, open that and copy, but it would be very useful to be able to copy text, then paste it into other dialogs, like a lower third graphic.

I can confirm that you cannot directly copy/paste the text to a text layer super-imposed on the sequence.

However, this work-around works: export the transcript as a text file. Open that text file (e.g. in Notepad) and copy/paste the preferred words into a new text layer in PPro.

The only reason for Adobe to gray out Copy/Paste in the Edit menu, is because users may get confused in terms of the behavior. Using the context-menu on transcript text allows for text-based editing, with similar copy/paste commands. However, you do not wish to copy/paste parts of the sequence (audio and video), but merely the transcribed text.

Hope this helps.

Just curious, and my computer is packed for moving ... after selecting the text, does a Ctrl/Cmd-C keyboard tap copy the text? Sometimes we don't get the option listed, but the keyboard short does work ...
