Transition Effects not Showing

I am trying to apply a transition between clips, but no matter what I do the transition does not show in the product. It appears in the timeline and I can set some values in the effects control panel, but nothing actually makes it appear in the video. I have searched online and found nothing helpful. I thought it might just be with my project, but even when I start over again, the same thing happens, so I believe it must be in some hidden setting somewhere, but I do not know where to look or what to do. Can something please help.

The media is on a fixed drive and it has not been moved. I have attached pictures of the sequence, the sequence settings, but I do not know where I would find the media properties. I have tried multiple different transistions; wipes, page peel, slide, etc.

Try unchecking Composite in linear color in the sequence settings.

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

Then try pressing Enter to render the timeline and turn the red line above the timeline to green.

I am now getting an error message where the transition should be. It just says media pending in a bunch of different languages.

Is it still showing media pending?

Unchecking the Composite in linear color seemed to solve the problem. Thank you so much for the help. I am really excited to have it working again.
