Question

Transitioning between audio track across cut

I have an audio track of an interview and I want to edit a few words out. When I cut out the words I dont want and the two tracks play one after the other, there is a noticeable crack (dont really know how to describe it without uploading the audio). basically, it doesnt sound smooth and it doesnt sound as if it is one sentence. it sounds like it was cut together. is there a way to blend these together better so it sounds like one continuous sentence?

Have you tried adding a short crossfade?

    Hi Rachel_sugg,

is there a way to blend these together better so it sounds like one continuous sentence?

I think you can do this more effectively in Adobe Audition.

Check this tutorial video: Match, fade, & mix clip volume with Adobe Audition

You can move your Premiere Pro sequence to Adobe Audition through the Dynamic Link. Editing audio in Adobe Audition

    Thanks,

Edit: wrong link to the tutorial.
